Microcontroller refers to a microcomputer that integrates system components such as a microprocessor, memory, and peripheral device interfaces on a single chip. It has the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, high reliability, and low price, and is widely used in various fields such as electronic products, robots, and smart homes. Single-chip microcomputers are widely used in many fields such as electronic products, home appliances, communications, automobiles, aerospace, military, and medical treatment. Its advantages include: high integration, low power consumption, high cost performance, fast running speed, easy programming, easy expansion, etc., suitable for various embedded systems and intelligent control applications. There are many programming languages for single-chip microcomputers, such as C language and assembly language.

 

 

The basic structure of the microcontroller consists of the following parts:

1. Central processing unit (CPU): The core component of the single-chip microcomputer, which performs tasks such as calculation, logic operation and data processing, and is the control center of the entire system.
2. Memory: Contains the program area and data area, where the program area is used to store program codes, and the data area is used to store data such as variables and constants.
3. Input/output (IO) port: Provides an interface for interacting with external devices, which can be used to input or output digital or analog signals.

4. Timing/counter: used for timing or counting, usually used for timing, delay, frequency counting and other applications.

5. Communication interface: It has serial communication, parallel communication, protocol conversion and other functions, and can be used for data transmission, communication control and other applications.

6. Power management circuit: realize power management, voltage detection, current detection, power consumption management and other functions.

7. Peripheral interface: various peripheral devices can be expanded, such as LCD monitors, buttons, sound chips, temperature sensors, etc.

8. Clock circuit: provide a clock signal, and provide a synchronous timing signal for the single-chip microcomputer.
